Featured here is a charming Old European cut diamond that is very well cut and extremely brilliant! This unique 1.07ct diamond was cut over 100 years ago and has wonderful old world sparkle. It has been very well cut and the proportions of the stone gives the diamond fantastic light performance! At 60 depth and 60 table, the proportions are what was long considered ideal and was known as the "ideal Tolkowsky" cut. Also, the stone has a great spread at just under 6.5mm. In person, the stone displays alluring fire which can be seen in the photograph in the vibrant facets of yellow and blue. Fire occurs when the faceting of the diamond breaks light rays into individual hues of the color spectrum. The affect is absolute gorgeous and must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. This conflict-free antique diamond is a breath of fresh air when compared to the mass produced stones of today. This stone is full of old world charm and features vintage characteristics such as large faceting, a hint of color and very high clarity. It has been certified by EGL-USA and graded N, VS1. The diamond has a very slight tint of warmth that helps to get masked by the white sparkle of the diamond. The grading is relatively strict as we had expected L-M color on this eon. Its stone has a gorgeous face-up and it is even better than eye clean as imperfections are very difficult to see even under 10x magnification! Its exceptionally clean at VS1 clarity. In addition to the EGL-USA certification, the diamond also comes with a third party appraisal from UGS with a replacement value of $6,585.00. This diamond is being sold loose although we can mount it in one of our settings. Please contact us for our inventory of settings, or let us know if you are interested in a custom design!
