Glamorously beautiful and classically elegant, this timeless vintage ring was originally used as an engagement ring for a couple that was married in the spring of 1941. Engraved with the date and the couple’s initials, this is a rare and absolutely one of a kind piece that is both beautiful and rich in history! The very high quality G-H VS Old European cut center diamond is bright and lively, displaying eye-catching fiery brilliance. Totaling 0.50ct, the accent diamonds are substantial and individually impactful. The diamonds are set in curved and highly polished settings which create the illusion of larger diamonds, making this dazzling set even more impactful! The settings are embellished with simple yet beautiful vintage details and gracefully structured with a geometric profile that gives the ring a regal air reminiscent of a tiara. They perfectly complement the diamonds and provide a gorgeous contrast to the rich warmth of the 14k yellow gold band. Richly historied and timelessly elegant, this ring is an excellent choice for an enduring engagement or right hand ring. Graded G-H for color, the center diamond faces up brilliantly white. Old European cuts tend to have a hint of warmth, so it is rare to find one with such nice white color! Graded VS for clarity, even under 10x magnification it is difficult to find any inclusions in this diamond! The side diamonds are also beautifully white, graded G-H for color. Graded VS2-SI2 for clarity the diamonds are both eye clean. The inclusions in the SI2 diamond are very small, blending perfectly into the diamond’s brilliance. One of the side diamonds is an Old European cut while the other is a round brilliant cut, likely added at a later date. The round brilliant matches very nicely with the old cuts. The ring is made from solid 14k white and yellow gold. The inside of the shank is engraved with the date “4-13-41” and the message “DCF to EMM.” This is particularly important as this was the year that the US entered in WWII. The likely bride had to put their lives on hold during this time as the war effort took over. Its a very special ring overall. The measurements are 6.4mm across (north to south) and 6.3mm from finger to top. Full of life and meaningful history, this ring is ready for a new chapter in its journey, bringing its illustrious past as well as its dazzling beauty to an engagement or right hand ring. One it has sold we will not be able to replace it.
