This dazzling 1.38ct old transitional cut certified diamond has exceptional VS2 clarity, beautiful white color, lively sparkle, and absolutely spectacular fire. Bridging the gap between old European cuts and modern round brilliants, old transitional cut diamonds were produced for a very short period of time and are exceptionally rare. This stone was cut in the late Art Deco era of the 1930’s-1940s, and exhibits amazing brilliance and fire! High quality and full of brilliant life, it would make a gorgeous and eye catching center for an engagement or right hand ring!

Certified by EGL-USA, the diamond received a clarity grade of VS2. It is completely eye clean. The few inclusions are much too small to see with the naked eye. The diamond is graded J for color, and it faces up beautifully white. As an old transitional cut, the diamond has old style facets and bold sparkle similar to an old European cut but with proportions similar to modern standards and a smaller culet. Measuring 7.5mm in diameter, it has a great spread and a larger than typical look for its weight! It absolutely retains the unique charm of a hand cut stone. This diamond is the best of both worlds with old style faceting and also exceptional light performance. Overall, it is a magnificent high quality stone, exceptionally clean, beautifully white, and dazzlingly vibrant!

This diamond is being sold loose, but it can be mounted upon request. You may browse our collection of semi-mounts or inquire about a one of a kind custom design.
