Description

This delightful 1.42ct old European cut GIA certified diamond has a beautiful bright look, is exquisitely clean, and has dazzlingly bright sparkle! Cut by hand a lifetime ago, this substantial vintage diamond is absolutely unique, guaranteed to be 100% conflict free, and full of old world charm. Already imbued with life and longevity, this diamond is a true Old European cut and will make an engagement or right hand ring that is not only eye-catching and stunningly beautiful but also full of depth and history!

The diamond is certified by GIA, the world’s premier gemological authority. Under GIA’s rigorous standards, this diamond is graded N for color and faces up beautifully with just a hint of warmth. Part of its antique charm, the subtle color is typical of diamonds mined in the 1800s due to the locations of the early mines in the Cape region. The diamond is graded VS2 for clarity, it is extremely difficult to impossible to find any inclusions even under 10x magnification! As an old European cut diamond, it has wide hand cut facets which return exceptionally big and bright sparkle as well as captivating flashes of colorful fire (rainbow refractions). Overall, it has an eye-catching, bright and lively appearance!

This diamond is being sold loose, but it can be mounted upon request. You may browse our collection of semi-mounts or inquire about a one of a kind custom design.
