Cut by hand over a century in the past by masterful Victorian era artisans, the diamond is beautifully matched with charming rounded shape, large culet, and wide facets that absolutely radiate old world charm! Imbued with over 100 years of history, this captivating diamond is completely unique, guaranteed to be 100% conflict free, and very rare!
The diamonds are both certified by GIA, the world’s premier gemological authority. Under GIA’s rigorous standards, the diamonds are exceptionally clean, receiving a grade of VS2 and SI1 for clarity. The few inclusions are too small to see with the naked eye! The diamonds each received a grade of L color. The diamonds show just a hint of warmth and faces up quite beautifully. Part of its antique charm, the subtle color is typical of diamonds mined in the 1800s due to the locations of the early mines in the Cape region back when London and Antwerp were the center of the diamond trading world. As an old European cut diamond, it has wide hand cut facets which return exceptionally big and bright sparkle as well as captivating flashes of colorful fire. Since Old European cuts were all cut by hand and vary more than modern diamonds, it is truly rare and unique to find a great pair like this!
