This gorgeous 3 carat cushion cut ruby displays a rich red color and is certified by GIA with a geographic origin of Myanmar (Burma)! The color is truly spectacular, vibrant and perfectly red with no pink or purple overtones. This is very red for Burma rubies which typically are pink but this one is a true red! Very rich and well saturated, it has an air of regal luxury! Classified as transparent to semi-transparent by GIA, the ruby transmits light beautifully, making it captivatingly lively and brilliant. The inclusions blend very nicely into the color. The ruby’s cushion cut is a very popular shape, and it would look gorgeous as the center for an alternative engagement ring. GIA determined the ruby’s geographic origin to be Myanmar (Burma). Myanmar rubies are the most prized rubies in the world by origin as that region is known to produce the highest quality material. The ruby is natural and earth mined as certified by GIA. It is not glass filled (also known as composite rubies) like the majority of cheap rubies flooding the market. This stone is pure ruby, unlike the composites which are a mixture which includes very low quality ruby material. The ruby has been heated, as have the vast majority of rubies. This is a standard treatment for rubies, and it is completely stable and permanent. The photos are highly magnified and accentuate the inclusions; they truly don't do this ruby justice!
