Description

This lively old transitional cut certified diamond is exceptionally clean, and magnificently brilliant. Bridging the gap between old European cuts and modern round brilliants, Old transitional cut diamonds were produced for a very short period of time and are exceptionally rare. Cut during the 1930s-1940s, this diamond is charmingly vintage, completely unique, and guaranteed to be 100% conflict free!

Certified by EGL-USA, the 1.22ct diamond received a clarity grade of VS1. Even with the aid of a 10x magnified jewelers loupe, it is difficult to find any inclusions in this diamond! The diamond received a color grade of L. It does show a subtle hint of color on the face up, as is typical for diamonds from its time period; however the color is largely overwhelmed by the bright white reflections in its sparkle. This diamond is an excellent choice for a yellow or rose gold setting as it will stand out brilliantly in contrast to the gold’s warmth. As an old transitional cut, it has a great spread and fantastic sparkle, but it retains a unique vintage charm with broad facets and an open culet. The diamond is 100% natural and has not received any treatments or enhancements of any kind.

This diamond is being sold loose, but it can be mounted upon request. Please browse our collection of semi-mounts or inquire about a one of a kind custom design. Charmingly vintage, dazzlingly brilliant, and remarkably clean, it is an elegant choice for an enduring engagement or right hand ring.
