This beautiful 1.22 carat old European cut diamond is striking in size, exceptionally clean with VS1 clarity, and dazzling with gorgeous, fiery brilliance! Cut by hand during the Art Deco era of the 1920s-1930s, it has wide facets that return big, bold sparkle, and an air of vintage glamour and charm.

This l1.22 carat diamond is certified by GIA, the world’s premier gemological authority. Under GIA’s rigorous standards, it received a clarity grade of VS1. Even under 10x magnification, there are no visible inclusions. Graded Q-R for color, the diamond does show a subtle hint of warmth, as is typical for old European cuts. Part of its antique charm, the subtle color is typical of antique diamonds due to the locations of the early mines in the Cape region back when London and Antwerp were the center of the diamond trading world. Set in yellow or rose gold, the very subtle warmth would blend beautifully, and the diamond would appear brighter in contrast. You will absolutely fall in love with this stunning beauty’s brilliance, size, fire, and antique cut! Overall, this diamond has a striking presence, dazzling with bold sparkle and vividly colorful fire! Absolutely one of a kind and truly dazzling, this gorgeous diamond is sure to become an heirloom, bringing joy to your family for generations to come.

This diamond is being sold loose, but it can be mounted upon request. This striking beauty deserves the perfect mounting. We specialize in vintage inspired design, so whether you are envisioning an ornate design full of filigree and engraving or a simple solitaire, we would love to share our ideas for custom designs!
